you dont think peoples judgment will be slighty biased, seeing as most people own or have owned an nsr125 and hardly anyone (with the exception of Keith W) has owned or still owns an RS125??
Personally I'd go with a NSR125! |

well the main reason i went for the honda NSR was because after having a scooter that i was having to replace parts every few weeks or months i thought i'd like something that will hopefully last a good deal of time before i would have to start prating around and changing things. i do look after my bikes but i'm not fanatical about having to replace parts all the time. I would have gone for a trails bike probably a 4 stroke for reliabilitys sake. But i found out they wheren't much faster than my scoot that i had tunned.
So that left me with a few bikes, Suzuki RG, Yamaha TZR, Honda NSR and the Aprilla RS.
All had there own characteristics,
I was stuck for either the RG, TZR or NSR. After someone at college already has an aprilla, i knew it was the fastest bike of the group , but didnt fancy taking another gamble on reliability.
I couldnt find many RG's about only one i found and that was £1,500 and my insurence was a bit steep.
So this left the NSR and TZR.
After ages or research, people's opinions etc... i finaly came to the desion i wanted the NSR.
There's nothing wrong with the TZR, and i saw a very nice one at the place i went to buy my Honda. But it was a bit too much at £1600, so i settled for the NSR, and to be honest i have'nt looked back since.
I know its not the fastest 125, but i know it has a reputation for a good reliabilty, and to be honest as long as it starts every morning ( because i will be using it during winter) then i'm not to bothered how fast it is or its styling.
An thats why i got it.

Yea same here Scotty, the reason I chose the NSR was because I have to use it all year round and I needed a reliable bike. I mean, how many RS125's do 11500miles and have no engine problems? ____________________ NSR125RR - ZXR750H1 - ZX9R E1 - GSF600S - GSF600SK3 - VFR400-NC30 - SV1000N - ST1100-R - CBR900RR-R - GSF1200SK5 - GSF600SK1 - VFR1200FA - GSXR1000K2 - ZZR1400 D8F

Kris... my NSR has ate a piston at 2900 miles... my fault though......
An RS125 would have had about 3 pistons by 11500 miles ____________________ A big enough hammer fixes anything! |
