I've just got an e-mail from the Bike insurer - There’s now a “long term” bike hire company offering Kwak Z1000’s for around £170 a month, ZX6R’s for about £160 a month…
Seems like a good idea to me, and I’m surprised I’ve not seen and bike leasing companies before however I cant help but think it’s probably a little too expensive, and I wouldn’t like not being able to “customise” my bike!

Average mileage of 4000 a year is little to no use on a lease bike |

It would be cheaper to get a bank loan and buy a bike or get a 0% new bike ____________________ Suzuki GSF600 K3 (in the fastest colour, black). |

I think it’s a real shame really, as personally I really loved the “twin-twin”exhausts on the old Z1000…

Hi
Suspect as the prices are given as "from" and include insurance they will go up quite a bit for younger riders or more than a nominal mileage.
Also expect that should you modify the bike (such as chopping off the numberplate mount) you will get stung for the cost of new bits to return it to standard at the end of the lease.
Quite possibly any damage (minor scratches to the bodywork, etc) at the end of the lease will be repaired by claiming on the insurance, leaving you without any no claims for your next bike.
Or maybe I am just being cynical.
All the best
