After about 12 years of waiting SC2 is coming out tomorrow I can't wait for this SC was the first PC I ever picked up and had to buy straight away I must have been 11 or 12 and it reckon it was near a birthday or Christmas as I had £25 to Spend, I picked up StarCraft in PC world and and looks at the pictures and started drooling, it was £25 and I was about to run to the check out when my Dad said what about this, I was about to turn around and say this is definately what I want to buy but he was holding this

https://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/711YV9XND8L.gif

My jaw dropped even further, I was gutted to find out it was £30 but my Dad said he would get it for me anyway and I was over the moon.

It is such a great strategy the team are perfectly balanced and the storyline was really interesting. I have played it so many times.
I'm really looking forward to it and hope they have keep most of the characters, especially Kerrigan and Raynor.

This is one of the main reason I spent so much on my new PC build.

I wasn't ever a huge fan of the first starcraft but i'm going to give this a try and soon as i find a crac.... As soon as i see it in stores and i can afford it.

I was a huge fan of red alert and total annihilation but all the newer sequels to those suck balls.

Don't get me started with westwood.... From what I've seen RA3 is some sort of pisstake crapfest.

Is Supreme Commander meant to be the evolution of TA?

I still play the original TA even these days, as the gameplay is still amazing even if the graphics are old.

I've been looking forward to this for ages. I do actually have a copy of the first Starfcraft, but have never played it, as I managed to lose the CD key before I ever installed it, as I bought it second hand with loads of other games.

I am however addicted to warcraft iii even thought its now pretty old. So I know that I will like starcraft 2 as long as it runs ok on my pc.

Anyone interested in starcraft 2, really should get warcraft iii and company of heroes as they are very good. You can play them for years every day and not get bored of them and always be learning new ways to play.

Company of heroes is a step above warcraft iii, so I expect starcraft 2 to be a step up again.

I'd actually forgotten the release date was today, but it was on the tv news about it at 8.30 so I nipped out to the computer game shop before it shut, and I'm installing it now...

When I started this post it was about 40% done, now its 88% done, so nearly there...

I may come back here to say how good it is, or I may play all night and be late for work tomorrow.

EDIT The game actually comes with 2 free guest pass keys enabling someone to play for either 14 days after acitvation or 7 hours depending which comes first.

I dont know anyone who would want one, so I might consider pming someone a guess pass key.

EDIT 99%

EDIT Installed !!!

I played 10 games yesterday and didnt win a single one.

I've realised I have played starcraft 1 just not much, as it is a bit familiar.

It also reminds me a lot of dawn of war 2 which uses the company of heroes engine.

Unlike that and warcraft though, there are no heroes.

I havent quite warmed to it yet, but I can see there is a lot of depth to the game. I'll probably like it more when I get my first win.

It's pretty undemanding on pc, although I guess it will look great on a high end one with everything turned up.

It's not really a game for everyone, more for hard core rts players really. I think company of heroes has more general appeal.

EDIT just won my first game today. Guess it must have been just hardcore games yesterday.

At the bottom of this thread, someone is selling a used starcraft 2 game on ebay. I dont think people realise they wont be able to use it now the game key has been used. To be fair, he does advertise the fact, but someone is gonna suffer.

It hasn't been Westwood for at least five years.
