Part 2 help

Can some of you give me hints on what to do in preparation for part 2 test as still unable to get any lessons up here.

I have looked over the routes any feedback on what they are looking for?

I have been riding 125cc for over 12 years or so, so suspect need to get rid of a lot of bad habits

I did the old test, so can't offer much in the way of advice.

However, have you joined your regional forum and asked the question there? Could well be there is a person willing to come and show you a few pointers?

just keep on check with lifesavers,speed limits and road positioning

there the main things really,i failed on something stupid really,lack of concentation from doing a wrong turning and worrying

just ride nice and steady but keep to the speed limit,i got a major for dong about 50ish on a nsl road

Observations and Lifesavers are key, miss them and you will pick up minors quick. Also let the examiner know that you are looking in your mirrors regularly and stick to the speed limit. Other than that don't do anything silly and don't worry if you go the wrong way as it doesn't matter.

ok, i done my mod 2 a month ago and passed.... eventually!... so its still reasonably fresh in my mind (considering i had to do it 3 times to pass its not surprising)

as with mod 1 the lifesavers and shoulder checks are important, you will fail for missing them. when stopped get into first. you will get a minor for gear selection if your in the wrong gear. keep the left foot on the floor, right foot on the back brake. pulling away do a check over each shoulder and move away. trying to keep to the middle of the lane

you will be expected to ride past parked cars, right lifesaver check before moving out of the centre of the lane your in. and left lifesaver before pulling back in.

you will do a couple of starting from stand still. the instructor will ask you to pull in when its convenient. use your common sense. your not going to pull in at a junction. or at a bus stop. before pulling away have a good look. theres nothing wrong with you taking your hand off the throttle and putting it behind you on the seat to make sure you can see.

angled start is just pulling out behind a parked car. when the examiner tells you to pull in behind the parked car dont pull right in to the kerbside. pull in about half of the car distance. ideally you want to be lining up with the boot handle. make sure you leave yourself plenty of room to pull out again tho. and once again look.

hill starts. keep your foot on the back brake to prevent rolling back (instant fail if you do). once again have a good look behind you down the road, i failed once because i looked and didnt see so make sure you have a good look, keep the revs busy and pull away gently.

road positioning and reading the roads are important. checks before pulling away, shoulder checks at roundabouts.

when turning left at a junction pull up as close to the kerb as possible. for right hand turns as close to the centre line as you can. if the examiner can get his bike inside you the chances are he will and you will fail.

but the most important thing to do is ride for yourself and try and relax. its easier said than done but try and forget you have this man scrutinizing you and instead he's just telling you where to go.

take your time. its better to get a fault for undue hesitation than it is to get a fail for pulling out when you should have waited.

The examiner was from a different test centre and was filling in for another examiner. He may not have picked up on the national sign.

Doesn't matter. Your a Learner. He should know you can't go above 45.

Yes, seems that way. But some people need to grow up and learn to speak properly to people when they make a small mistake.

Apologise if I made it confusing for you. I was unaware that the law was so different between our countries. It is all the UK after all.
