My Honda seems to stutter a bit when going through the gears - generally at a higher mph, seems to be losing power but then when i pull the throttle towards me - it seems to kick on again.

What can i check?

Would it be the spark plugs?

Dont know if it is any coincidence but the horn doesnt seem to work either.

Thank you in advance.

You mean when you put on the throttle it runs better than when it's at low revs?

Mixture maybe?

Or if it's the idle you're talking about, maybe the idle speed is too low.

Horn should work with the engine running, if not - the horn is buggered.

The indicators work when the engine is off but the ignition is on?

Hi Dunc - well sometimes when i pulled the throttle right back then it levelled out again.

How would i change the idle speed?

Indicators work when the engine is off but ignition on, yes.

thank you.

Sounds like mixture, mines did that and found it was running lean.

What model? might even be the accelerator pump needing adjusted.

Idle speed is changed by the wee screw through the black cover on the carb, leave the engine running till it's warm and adjust it till it sounds right.

Since the indicators are working, that means the battery is fine, and the fuses are fine - means your horn needs replaced.... Get it for the MOT, that's a failure.
