Hi all newbie here, have a small problem,Just got a yamaha yq100 as a cheap run about apart from the odd scratches all in fine. But when i use the indicators they just turn on and not blink any idea as to what the problem might be as i do not want to pay for a new wire loom.

Dead battery? Have you got the lights switched on at the same time / brake light?

Indicator relay?

Bulbs that are a higher wattage than the relay is rated for?

Have you checked if they're actually connected properly?

Should be 1 pair of wires connected to another... Doesn't matter which go in which. Just make sure they're in all the way.

Make sure all your wires are connected for all indicators before considering revamping your wiring.

If they light up it is very doubtful there is a problem with how they are connected.

Good point if it is new to you they could be the wrong type of bulb fitted, does it look like the indicators have been messed with and changed from stock?

In my experience if only 1 is connected then it doesn't flash, simply goes on.
