 |
|
Hi guys,
when I eventually get a bike I will obviously be in need of some basic kit to wear.
Not looking for anything too expensive as I have a limited budget.
But I will need the following:-
Helmet
googles
gloves
tops and pants
boots
jackets and trousers
And anything else I would need?
Thanks ____________________ I would list my previously owned bikes but I don't think there is enough room ! (50)

Armour!
Even if you think you won't be falling off or going too fast, chances are you will fall off. I'd highly recommend some kind of armour, if only knee guards and elbow protection.
I went for a full top and knee pads and then upgraded to knee guards after witnessing a few horror knee twists! Some of the guys wear neck braces as well, but mainly for racing rather than gentle trail riding! ____________________ 'The core of a man's spirit comes from new experiences'

I was in a similar situation as you a little while ago mate - i had no idea
From helpful members on here i gleaned some useful info though.
I use a textile jacket with armour in, a pair of lightweight gloves from Hein Gericke and a pair of Bericke motorcross boots - they weigh a ton and i cant feel much through them but they should protect my ankles and feet.
Im still using my road helmet at the moment, saving up for a decent 'offroad' lid i can use with goggles.
Im liking the look of the Shoei Hornet, but it aint cheap! |
