One word.... Pathetic!

https://www.crash.net/motogp/news/160851/1/dutch_tt_reduced_to_red_button_bbc_coverage.html

Ok, so most do have access, but for fu*k sake Dorna, give it back to Eurosport will you, their coverage of the whole GP weekend is awesome.

The BBC have done nothing to promote MotoGP and their coverage on race days is a mess, commentry is a joke as neither have a clue what they are talking about! It took them until the end of the race at Silverstone to realise that Stoner wasn't just 'taking it easy' at the start and the bike infact stuttered off the line. If they had bothered to watch a replay of him having to shut the throttle and grab a second handful they wouldn't have looked so stupid!! Laughing

I really hope that the BBC don't get coverage next season and it goes back to where it should be.... Eurosport. It should be the BBC that shows the delayed coverage.

Thumbs Up

Seems BBC are a bit like "errr umm we still have this motoGP contract what should we do with it, errr ummm stick it on the red button, nobody cares" Thumbs Down

Give it back to Eurosport and stop this farce, I've never watched motoGP on BBC i hate toe commentators and the way the skim over everything trying to get it on and off the screen as quick as possible.

Eurosport on the other had spend all day with the 125, 250 and motoGP's, with great insider gossip and banter from Toby julian and Spalders (His voice is like a hot commentary knife through butter)

I've been hoping Steve Parish would become Eurosports replacement for Mamola in the pits.

Only thing i can think, is that there aren't enough people watching bike racing to warrant full coverage.
And as for F1...The program goes on and on. How they fill the time i dunno.

Whats the betting that with so much other sport on TV at the moment that they won't even show the 125/moto2 races which are normally better then the main event.

Dorna or whoever is in charge really need to liven up the MotoGP qualifying a little though If they expect it to get much coverage. Pretty much all the major rival motorsport classes use the knockout system which is exciting to watch.
MotoGP is just an hour of people randomly riding round, then in the last 3 minutes everybody puts a fast time in.
Not sure a knockout system would really work though as there is now only about 15 bikes on the grid.

I'd rather it was on the red button and 'free' on the BBC than have to fork out for eurospunk.

Lets face it, if you haven't got a red button, you must be at least 90 years old anyway, and other than Walli, there's no 90 year old MotoGP fans I know of. So, frankly, meh.

'Eurosport - the home of motorbikes' so they say.

Quite true, they have everything on there, I recently updated my sky package with eurosport2 for £1 to get BSB / WSB

I think the BBC motogp coverage is good but can't believe it's hidden away like it is. Even top level lawn bowling would get better coverage.

I think it would be popular if it was given a chance especially in comparison to the F1 which they allocate a 4 hour programme to.

to be fair the build up, features and first corner of the race are the most interesting bits. I switch back 2 hours later to see the end.

Usually this is jake humphrey, coulthard and jordan trying to string out the one point of interest, something like one of the mechanics taking an unregulated toilet break.
