I LOVE these
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120507895420&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I've had 2 pairs now - first pair i destroyed by using them to work on the bike, getting them covered in all sorts and they eventually started to break down, And the second pair i had got ripped apart in my accident.
I'll be buying another set when my GPZ is bac on the road.
Up to you really, depends on budget and if you want to wear tarty stuff
But yeah, i recommend those.
I wore my combat boots on the bike before - were warm and rigid, would have protected be enough in a crash, but they were a bit stiff for changing gears.

i had a pair of those too, great boots, comfy enough to wear all day..... i know this because i forgot to take my work boots into work once and had to spend 12 hours in a kitchen in my bike boots. oops! ____________________ illuminateTHEmind wrote: I am just more evolved than most of you guys... this allows me to pick of things quickly which would have normally taken the common man years to master

Those are Tarty.
lot of decent boots for <£60 So just look around really.
But the boots i linked are good.
I'll definately be buying them again
Another one to look at is Buse, they did race boots that were pretty good.

Ankle protection is a must if you ask me, imagine lowsiding and dropping your heavy bike on your ankles
Also i had a low speed highside off a roundabout with my boots on and they have an impact absorbing plate that wraps around the heel, i hit the floor quite hard with my heels and these plates shattered doing their job to take the force away from my heels, dread to think how my feet would have been if i were not wearing me boots
I never go anywhere now without my boots on, not even to the shops ____________________ preivious : 2007 Skyjet 125 (died), 1991 gsf400 (problems, rotting in garden)

Agree with the above - with the force the car hit me, if i wasn't wearing my boots, i would have snapped my ankle.
Seeing the state of the boots after... rather them than me
