Hi.
I have recently acquired a Honda SH 50.
It seems that it is running too much oil in the mixture. Does anyone know how to adjust the petrol/oil mixture?
It also seems to be restricted to 30mph. How is it likely to be restricted?
Thanks for your help in anticipation,
Nick.

Have attached a scan of the relavant page in the Haynes manual. I got a few of these and have founnd that what seems to happen if they are left standing the oil lets past the pump and pools in the crank case, a good run cures this. Not sure on restriction.
Cheers

Thanks for the info. I'll check it out. My bike is actually a bit later than the one you mention, but I hope there's not a lot of difference. We'll see.
Thanks again. nrorke

I had one of these as my first moped!!!

As said in the link there is no restriction in them as such, they are just designed to be slow, but they do last very well for a moped.
There are ones knocking around with 80K on the clock, I was also told when I had mine that they used to be the pizza delivery ped of choice due to their indestructible nature.

As far as the smoke is concerned it may also be worth checking that some muppet hasn't put pre mix in the fuel tank. Drain the tank and put some fresh fuel in (and check the level in the oil tank)and take it for a good run and see if things improve.

Cheers

Tim.
