WHAT OIL DO I NEED? 2 STROKE..

dumb question but..

what oil do i put in my 2 stroke engine..

i have a tank for 2 stroke oil and also i need oil in my engine, what oil do i put in?

i have some mineral oil from tesco (cheap shit)

but it says for 4 strokes, does that matter or do i specificly need 2 stroke engine oil.

2T oil for 2T engine
4T oil for 4T engine

Unless you mean a gearbox oil.

u need 2 stroke oil for a 2 stroke machine.

it'll normally say 2T on the front.

Normal engine oil in the sump, and in the 2 stroke oil tank, you need some 2 stroke oil

the engine oil dosent actualy go near the top end..

thats wat my 2 stroke oil tank is for.

just utter confused :/
i asshumed i could use any oil in the crank case as its the engine not the piston

its a yb 100.

i have the 2 stroke oil in the 2 stroke tank obviously just wasnt sure if i could use "engine oil for 4 strokes"

in my engine. (not the 2 stroke tank)

You don't put oil in a two stroke engine the lubrication comes from oil mixed with the fuel (in your case it is mixed using oil from the 2T oil tank before it goes through the carb).

Do you mean gearbox oil? Exactly where on the bike do you think you need to put oil in?

im confused at people trying to say 2 strokes dont have engine oil..

ill explain a bit better.
i have a tank on the side of my bike that you put 2 stroke oil into.


i have a big metal box of wonders called an engine

just like a 4 stroke it has a little thing that sticks up just near the kick start that you unscrew and pour oil into

understand a little better now?

the part in the engine contains oil

should i wash it through with water? or is petrol better?
