You can buy refill scottoil at any good motorcycle parts store. To refill there should be a chamber somewhere. Its often located under the seat or cable tied to the frame. Just follow the tubing from the application nozzle at the rear wheel to trace it back. There is a rubber filler plug connected to the chamber which can be removed to fill it up. Usually the refill bottles come with a tube attached and a little adapter at the end of the tube to fit into the chamber.

I love scottoilers, wouldnt be without one now. Play around with the rate so you dont get too much spray on the rear wheel, there is dial on the chamber. I find a drip every 10-15 seconds works well. Good luck.

I've used clean engine oil in scottoilers with no problems. Mind you I had a 5 litre container of Halfords car stuff lying about idle, so it had to be put to work somehow.

Watch out tho - the thickness of the oil varies with temperature so you'll need a higher flow rate set when it's cold and the oil is thicker and slower.

Worth turning it up a bit if you're riding in rain a lot, too.

Check out the Scottoiler website there's a wealth of information there on, fitting, filling, priming and other stuff, and realistically 500ml should only cost around £7 from the likes of Hein Gericke or your local dealership.
