50cc customized chopper

hi,
i have a 50cc customized chopper, (electric and pull start)
the bike starts fine but when i pull the accelerator the bike just revs up and makes a ton of noise but does not go. i do not have a clue about 50cc bikes, i have put a new carb on it but it still has the same problem..
i have been customizing the bike for a year now and during customization, the engine has just been sitting around not doing anything, im not sure whether this is the problem. before the bike was stripped and customization began, the bike started and ran fine. all new performance parts have been put on it such a a rocket key, nitrous, fuel filter and more.
i am in need of urgent help as i need it finished to give back to my son.

i worded the question incorrectly.
the bike does actually move but it is very sluggish and im not sure why because before it was customized it worked fine.

no it is a twist and go bike, it has no gears.
the brakes dont seem to seized on.
i think it is something to do with the engine itself because it does move, but it is not as fast as it used to be.

Have you tuned it or jetted it to suit the modifications???

No one can really answer your question because you have fiddled with the bike and it is obviously not standard, who knows what you have done and what has caused the problem.


If you want the correct answer you need to be asking the right question.

Not having a clue about 50cc bikes. Wound not matter if it was a series I Landrover, same pricipal, its an internal combustion engine.


Could be something as simple as stale fuel. Stuck closed or open or clagged up needle&seat (float valve) blocked jet, wrong spark plug or dead spark plug, bad lead, bad earth.
Could be the other end of the scale. Youve put way too much performace gear on and its something mechanically wrong IE a 50cc version of a top fuel dragster and you are trying to run it with the carb off grandmas escort.

Are your tyres inflated properly? Correct chain? too much/not enough slack on chain.

The chain expands and contracts with the weather. It's all down to testing - it ain't rocket science pal! The engines on these bikes are useless - power to weight ratio is no good - you most likely need a better engine - as to where you can find one that fits your frame is another problem.

i am chilled, but im in need of help and all i get abuse about my choice of bike, tunning it 2 make it quicker for my son and for just owning a chopped in general.
