 |
|
The dealership who sold and Ist seviced my bike .. told me to ignore the manfacturers psi guide .. which is 27/8 rear - 26 front ... and put 31/32 rear and 28/29 front ..
Mainly caus of weighing 17 stone on a 2T 125 cc i imagine ..
And then you have winter psi recomendations ...
I don't know what to think .. i want a happy meduim between grip/wear/and handling ... and was about to order those dustcaps that indicate if psi is low ... but can't order them until i've learnt more ref above .. as they are pis percific caps ..
Any thoughts ... ____________________ Fuk um !! |

Dunno about 125's but most of my 600's have been 37 front and 40/42 rear depending on luggage/pillion ____________________ [Current Bikes - GSXR-750 K5 & C90-97 ] [Previous Bikes: Runner 125, YBR 125, GS500, Bandit 600, Hornet 600, ZX6R-99, C90-99, R1-99, XT600E-04, GSXR-750 K4, CRF250L '16] |

PSI shouldn't be a standard form, it's different for each tyre, each bike. My Michelin Power Pures on my CBR600 are running at 36/36 right now, most people would instantly say 36/42.

Feels awesome 30/30, I had it 34/36 and the rear didn't feel to good, so lowered it to 30!
I've pretty much tried all different PSI configurations and 30/30 is best for me and my bike
The only bad thing is that the tyre tends to wear a bit quicker with less PSI! ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR

The tyre won't look deflated, its how it feels when your riding.
A tyre with 20 PSI will still look fully inflated!
PSI is something you have to decide on really mate. My reccomended PSI is 36/42 but I run 30/30 because thats what I prefer. Try different combinations, and just find the one that best suits you. Just because someone reccomends a certain PSI doesn't mean that it will work for how you ride. I'm very agressive on the front end of the bike, and 30psi offers me more grip, so thats what I went for! ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR

Yes, pressure increases as the air gets hotter, so PSI goes up. You can fill them with Nitrogen from most tyre places, this will stay at the same PSI regardless of heat.
Thing is, on a 125, your not going to get the tyres as hot as you would on something like a 600 or 1000cc bike, so you might want to start with quite a high PSI! ____________________ 2009 CBR1000RR
