Rear axle nut - CBF125

Need a replacement nut, size 14mm.

I can't seem to find a genuine honda replacement nut so is it possible to use any 14mm nut that is sturdy enough for the job?

The old nut is still there but is virtually rounded off, so i must get that off and replace to be able to adjust the chain regularly.

Get a decent correct size socket as well to stop it rounding off again.

The brief answer is, No, you cant just stick any 14mm nut on there as there are at least two different thread pitches. Usually for that application it's a metric fine, 14 x 1.25 pitch. Get the correct one from David Silver and you'll be doing it right, and while you're at it if you haven't got a spanner of the right size, unless of course the previous owner was responsible for effing your nut up, go get one. Even a 'cheapie' one is better than a pair of 'grips'.

Good luck getting the old nut off, axle nuts are often torqued to oblivion. Invest in these, they've saved my bacon many times!
