Taking it off is stupid - having the enclosed chain helps keep crap off it thus extending chain life, not quite as good as the MZ full enclosed chain though.

I've just bought a CG with 14.4k on the clocks, and that seemed about average when I was looking.

This pleases me! Laughing

To be quite honest though, I've always been under the impression that so long as the bike is kept maintained to a decent standard and bits are replaced as and when needed, they'll just keep going? Much the same as a car provided they're not neglected?

Forgive me if that seems naive Confused

Cheers,
Steve.

Mine's 1999, needs work, and I paid an arm and a leg for it purely because it was local and he offered delivery.

*sigh*

My bike I believe has been local to the nearest city (Cardiff) since it was first bought. I bought mine for £350 and compared to others it is in good condition. Of course, the engine has the paintwork coming off and I need to replace the rocker cover gasket as it is leaking very slightly. But the bodywork is great and the paint the nice deep red it always was Smile

I wish mine had a round headlight Sad

And I almost envy that. I won't say how much I spent on mine initially, and how much I've spent fixing it so far Shocked Shocked
