not sure but i was getting 120psi out of a A100 which i was surprised about,

if you do find the ratio,
times it by 14.7 that will give you a perfect world figure

eg say if your bike was 6.7:1 then the psi would be 98.49psi
realistically it will be alot lower, probably around 85psi

thanks mate

compression ratio is 9:1 so i take it that would 132.3 psi - sounds pretty low to me still! Was thinking something more like 150psi at least!

KH125 was 124psi after a full rebuild.
Im sure the NSR is around 130ish.
132 sounds high for your machine...but if thats what hmmmnz says is a real world figure, its cool!

well I haven't rebuilt the engine yet - still waiting from the reborers to come back with dimensions and costs to the barrell.

Just saw a clip on youtube for the suzuki gp100 compression test and someone has actually done a video of it showing about 140psi so the 133 psi sounds about right Very Happy

lets see what mine turns up to be.

Do you need to oil the bore before testing?

no, that would defeat the point Very Happy

when doing a compression test on a 4 stroke,
do a baseline test, if the compression is lower than expected,
put a wee squirt down the barrel, and if the compression rises a considerable amount, then rings are poked, if the compression stays low, then its valve seats that are the problem
