i doubt thats a suzuki frame. more likely just a random tank as it looks well out of place. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. Looks a bit like an SP370 chassis.
HOWEVER. As I said in the other thread, the chain from a CZ engine is on the right, the sprocket on a Suzuki chassis will be on the left. Might just be a case of having flipped the back wheel. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. Frame loop is much taller and narrower on the SP to accomodate the big 4-stroke single. Shocks are more inclined. Tank & Mudguards all a lot different, as well as the forks and hubs.
Didn't 'quite' look like the TS250, so wondered whether it may be TS125/185.

Those are earlier mid-70's TS's, later ones had more inclined shocks and angular MX body-work.
Looking at them, they have twin diagonal frame rails coming down from the cylinder head area towards the swing-arm pivot, where the 'mystery-bike' and the TS250 seem to have a single back-bone coming down the middle.
Looks like a TS250 chassis then.
And I WONDER whether the engine might actually be 125?
Back in the early '80's old 250's were almost worthless, and one with a dead engine absolutely so. A CZ125 was pretty un-valuable also, and could be written off as beyond ecconomic repair come MOT time for something as daft as a duff regulator.... Slotting a working CZ125 motor into an old 250 Chassis, would have made a cheap learner legal.... Or it could have just been a low rent field bike excersize.
BUT looks like an early TS250 frame & cycle-parts, rather than a 125 or 185, and from the frame shape, probably pre-77.
As a classic, its not one I'd pick as a project, finding an engine for it is going to be a tuffee.... and theres a lot of work going to be needed on the cycle-parts. As a rider, bikes like this go for around a grand fifteen hundred, if done well, A show-bike done to part number spotters envy, will fetch a bit more, but few are ecconomically restored to eaither standard.... even when they bike comes with the engine its supposed to have!

Ok. After a bit of poking around and general Czech bike nerding here's what I think.
I think I can see a second exhaust on the other side of the bike.
I also notice that the opening for the carb shroud is unusually large and finishes at an angle as if it was designed to connect to something else in a continuation of that shape, not just attach to a simple airbox. the cooling vanes are shallow and indistinct.
That could well make the engine a Jawa Model 353 dating from the mid 1960s. 250cc twinport single.
Fairly collectable if it is. If it turns over and has compression, it might be worth keeping an eye out for a rolling chassis. If it's seized solid, you might be able to flog parts off it to collectors. Especially if you polished them up and know exactly what model they are off (Czech alloy doesn't rot like Japanese stuff, it'll be solid enough). The carb shroud in particular is something which often gets lost over the years.
Have a look at the engine number, the first three numbers are usually the model number on both Jawas and CZs.
I think the frame is barely worth bothering with. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
