 |
|
can anybody tell me if there are any ways of putting a better exhaust on a 2006 honda CG125?
only reason for this is some t*t put his leg too near it and melted his textile trousers to it, so it now looks a mess and i cant get it off.
any advise? |

i did something similar with the exhaust of my cg125. Fed a chain through the gap between the engine and the front part of the frame. This left the chain sitting on the hot exhaust. The plastic cover the chain melted and made a right mess. You live and learn!
Anyhow wire wool and some WD40 cleared it right up ____________________ 2005 Honda CG125 |

Yeah, it's really infuriating, isn't it?! I was so mad at myself when I did it!
Autosol's great to have anyway, but I would honestly try the razor blade first. It's cheaper (and easier!)

Oh ffs just go to tescos and pick up one of their cheap twin-blade disposables. It'll be not much removed from a bare blade and you'll get done in half the time
(nasty pieces of work they are, if you actually try to take one to your face)
Hardware stores will probably sell something of that ilk because they do have various genuine uses in home crafts.
I'm going to try this myself, because my mum has access to quite a few such supplies being a science teacher, and my zorst is covered with all kinds of blotchy crap. Was quite disheartening when I tried to autosol it before. Loads of polishing, one small section looking beautifully shiny ... and the rest of it much the same as before.
Just remember to put some temperature-proof wax on it after. I think Mer is supposed to be exhaust-safe? |
