How much of your tyre is/isn't used? I probably have about 1cm of virgin rubber, bearing in mind I have skinny tyres.

On my current tyre's i'd say about an inch as my suspension feels knackered and haven't wanted to push it. Also no leathers is a good deterrent too. Sad

Had none on my old set though.

I have about 1cm on my back tyre on the right hand side, and no chicken strip at all on the left cos the tyre must have spun against the ground as i went over Laughing .

None on either side. I had a few mm on the left until the trackday at Cadwell last weekend.

Still can't get my knee down though. Confused

rear, scuffing on sidewall

A foot of multi adjustable WP and marazuchi(sp?) suspension on either end and 36" renthall desert bars. Don't try this on a moped folks!

yup, looks even better with 6" CIBIE projector spots on the front.

It'll look even better still when MZ give me a new engine with a non-siezed bottom end for it. Been at the dealers for a month now Mad

I've had four trackdays out of my tyres. The chicken strips went last year, grew back again over the winter, and have gone again. Laughing

Good value for money these 010s. Thumbs Up

I disagree with this whole thing. "Chicken strips" implies that if you have some, your not trying to kill yourself enough.

How many people have binned it this week already?

Superabusa - I think Shade does actually have plenty of miles under his tyres. I also agree with him, notice that most people have said their chicken strips were lessened by track days.

I'd rather not be out of control on a public road, especially if, like there was yesterday, a combine harvester coming round the corner with significantly spikey bits hanging over the white line.
