When my mate was doing his own spray job, we would both sit for hours rubbing it all down afterwards with fine grade paper, then some sort of polish or wax, then he would re-spray and repeat.
In the end he built up the tank with about 7 fine sprays and the depth of shine was superb. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

This is the best way, flatten in down with 2000grit or so, and then respray, do same till you have clear coat over, then flatten that, and respray a few coats, and flatten, polish and wax. |

If you're going to clearcoat them, flatting or rubbing down the colour coat is a complete waste of time.. |
