Yeah check the two stroke feeds have not been crimped with plyiers as I have seen before. Keeps mechanics in work.
There will be two, one to the reed block and another to bearings.
Sorry to hear this. I have had two Aprilia RS 125's and rebuilt the top end of one of them. (Nightmare of a job)
Both bikes jumped out of 5th gear on me.
The latest Aprilias are made and designed to fail big time up and after 6 to 7 thousand miles. I noticed there are intentional perforations on the floats of the float chamber which fill over time. Well at least it seems that way looking at the nu-unified mould of the floats.
This Knocks out the running and effects clutch control, which in turn affects gear change and ruins the already fragile cogs.
I have heard of people rebuilding the gear boxes on these with more robust cogs so check this out if your gunna go for a full rebuild.

Hi
Why has the gearbox seized? No gearbox oil? If so where has it gone? Crank seal or smashed casing from a chain snapping are the most likely. Main other cause of a gearbox seizure is probably it managing to engage 2 gear at once (used to be something BMW K series bikes suffered from occasionally), and if it is that then probably just worn shift forks.
All the best
