I believe you can use a 50 on your licence, since you've done the CBT.
I also believe you do not need L plates and can carry pillion. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

I don't think so.
CBT runs out after 2 years and you need a driving test before 2001.
Someone who knows, back me up with some facts please. |

Best bet is to give DVLA a call when they're open, explain the situation and then post what they say back into this thread.
As I said above, I understand it as if CBT required then licence only valid for the entitlement while CBT valid (2 years). So if full car licence obtained before Feb 2001 no CBT required so you can ride on L plates on moped until licence expires (70th birthday). Otherwise you need to renew CBT for licence entitlement to be valid.
Also if you must show L plates then you can't carry a pillion/passenger.

When you have a full car licence, you have an 'locked' moped licence, which would automatically be available to you to ride some 20 years ago. A CBT allows you to 'unlock' that full moped entitlement on your full car licence and therefore the CBT will last the length of your licence. However, If you wish to use a larger motorcycle than 50cc then your CBT is limited to 2 years for anything larger than 50cc- however, a moped is still available to you. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

Pretty sure there was a thread on this a while back and it turned out that if the car licence was done when the CBT was valid, or if the CBT was done after the car test was passed, then the CBT does not expire until the car licence does
Hope that makes sense. ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |

This marks that first ever time that "Bloke said, on the internets" wasn't meant ironically. |
