Hi
Just to get this off my chest.
Our dish washer died about a year ago.. Pump failed and I couldn't decide whether to get a new pump or a new dishwasher. Being a cheapo dishwasher a pump was close to half the price of a new dishwasher (OK, the pump should be a better quality one). Being chronically indecisive we did nothing.
Finally got a new dishwasher yesterday and had fun fitting it.
Who in their right mind sells a consumer item likely to be installed by normal people and uses torx fittings all over the place. Suspect 95% of households don't have any torx drivers of any kind.
And while having multilingual instructions might help the maker, having lousy pictorial instructions with pretty much no text is a pain.
All the best

Hi
. Didn't put that well. Edited the original post.
We did buy a new dishwasher. It is the new one that is covered in torx fittings, plenty of which you need to remove or do up when putting it in place.
For example it is designed to have a front panel attached to match the rest of the kitchen. Fitting that means 4 torx screws at the bottom, 2 each for a pair of clips on the panel. Then once the panel is clipped on you need to remove 4 torx screws from the front door and replace them with longer torx screws that go through into the front panel.
Appears to be no reason why they couldn't just use Philips headed screws.
It would be FAR easier to fit a new pump to the old washer which didn't rely on torx screws.
All the best

Hi
You can adjust the leveling feet from the front. Pity that they do not lift the dish washer up high enough even on full extension.
Torx to me are a pain. Way too wobbly, so unlike a Philips or Allen key you can virtually no chance of putting the screw on the driver and then putting it into position.
Not sure that a piece of normal consumer white goods of a supposedly standard size should be regarded as something to be professionally installed.
The instructions really are dire. I would expect better from something that started "flat packed for your convenience".
All the best
