Hi

First basic things. Clean the plug. Turn the petrol off and drain the carb float bowl (just in case water has got into the fuel). Check that fuel flows (ie, not a blocked filter).

All the best

Keith

Plenty petrol in the bike?

Did you warm it up enough?

Fuel turned on or reserve?

I am trying to help Thumbs Up I never mentioned the kill switch.

If you don't warm the bike up enough, it will cut out when you open up the throttle Thumbs Up As it is colder it will take longer to warm up Thumbs Up

You probably flooded it, leave it for a few minutes and try again.

Hi

Sounds like the breather is blocked, fuel pipe kinked or the fuel filter is blocked. To check the first undo the petrol cap and see if fuel suddenly flows.

Also could be the floats have stuck in the carb. Tap the carb float bowl (with something like the handle of a screw driver) and again see if fuel suddenly flows.

All the best

Keith

Hi

Presume you mean the bottom of the tank is an upside down u shape to go over the spine of the frame. Lean the bike over as far as you can towards the side with the fuel tap on the tank and hopefully any remaining petrol will get onto the useful side of the tank.

Also check to see if you have a 2nd fuel tap on the other side of the tank (common on older bikes partly because of this kind of problem).

All the best

Keith

Bikes take a few minutes to warm up properly.

Is the choke on the handlebar?

Dont know about anyone else but I dont ride my bike until I am satisfied that it is warm. So I leave it running for like 5 mins.

If everyone else does that, too, I would advise that you just hold your choke until it is warm.

Anyway, hope it works out. And you should have kept some money behind for petrol. I always keep £3 under my seat just to get me home. If I needed it that bad I would use it to get to work. Just an idea Thumbs Up

Pull the choke then put a clothes peg, or two if they'll fit, on the cable to hold the choke in postion!
