Hey,
So I'm planning to go over the ground points on the NSR but am not 100% sure how many there are or where they are to be found...
I have the wiring manual but cant see any "traditional" ground/earth symbols.

Anyone fancy giving me a clue? Smile

Diagram attached.

Best regards

Well normally they would look like this:
__|__
.-----
...--

The one your diagram near the stator looks like this:

Thats what i was thinking....
It would imply that there are at least (from what i can see) 5 points:
- Ignition coil
- Temp Sensor
- Alternator
- Neutral switch
- Starter motor

Does that sound right to anyone?

I know there is a ground on the ignition coil, i will go and have a gander and see what else i can find as the weather is pretty good heh.

Cheers for pointing out my suspicions there.

Best regards

That looks the case to me, just the five earthing points...the main battery earth is actually in the harness with the starter motor and shares the same earth point on the frame?

The temp sensor i suspect will earth through it's own body so no separate earth point for that one....

Yep looks good to, so it's just a case of making sure they are screwed down firmly and not touching any other circuits.

i recommand for any bike to add a wire section 2 to 4 square mms (multi-sprigs) from the negative of the battery to a bolt on the frame then another one from the same bolt to an engine bolt
