Right Ive posted before about my rs being too rich, as when i turn the fuel off and ride her she runs fine, until the fuel runs out of course. but i parked up in college today and came back and all of my petrol was on the floor even tho i turn the fuel off when i park up.

Will be getting the jets sorted soon but should that fix this problem, theirs no leak in the tank so i have no idea

if its leaking fuel from the carb, then its likely that floats are set at incorrect height or a bit of grit has got under the float needle.
cheers,

It could be a leaky fuel tap as well. Throw some talc over it it should show where the leak is coming from.

Hi

Other possibility with the needle valve is that the float height is wrong or that the floats are damaged.

Just thought, UK seems to be getting more ethanol in fuel which is corrosive to some plastics (seems to be causing problems with various fuel tank sealants people have used over the years). Wonder if this sudden rash of RS possible fueling problems could be floats leaking?

All the best

Keith

shouldnt take you more than half an hour, from start to finish.
read Keiths guide to carbs for a few pointers.
i also find it interesting that there seems to be more & more of this type of problem arising,
