Hello,

I got some new boots, but I cant move my foot down like I used to, so its very difficult to use it the rear brake..

I had to move the clutch leaver quite a lot to get my foot under it - rear brake no adjustment...

I could bolt a small piece of aluminium bar to the top, raising it up, but would prefer a proper fix/adjustment...?

My exhaust is also too loud, Im sure its not the standard... but it goes silent if I partly cover the hole... what can I do about it? without buying new

thanks Smile

Are you sure about the brake? I thought CG brake pedals were on a spline and could be rotated same as the gearshift. Confused

No idea about the exhaust. Could be the baffles have collapsed, or been drilled out and the end cap replaced. What's the bike's history?

On my CG125 I would have to take my foot off the footpeg and stomp down on the rear brake so you should be able to do this also.

If I'm not mistaken, you can't adjust the rear brake pedal position, however if the issue is that you have to push the pedal really far down before it does anything, then there's a nut on a threaded bar that points towards the back of the bike. You can tighten this and this will turn the rear drum brake cam. You need to watch that the rear brake doesn't rub though because you're effectively taking up any slack before the rear brake goes on.

Just take your foot off the peg and stomp on it. Mainly use engine braking, the brakes on the CG are pretty shit at the best of times anyway.

Possibly on newer models. Not mine though and not the OP's.

I think this is a posture problem, probably something to do with the brake & clutch levers being so far apart compared to on a car, such that he is struggling to work the clutch with his foot! Shocked Shocked Laughing :wink

I'd be more interested in trying to break the boots in.
Wear them around the house for a few days.

Ah, thanks. I was thinking of the CM125 - it's surprising that the CG isn't adjustable.

Wear the boots around the house, do some lunges and get them to soften up. New leather boots are usually a pig to ride in.
