Unless there's a risk of scum seeing the bike, I'd seriously consider removing the cover in high winds. It just acts like a sail. ____________________ 2016 CBF1000F - Commuter heaven | 1994 CBR600FR - Awaiting defibrillation |

We had gusts of 65mph here earlier. Had to pop in a post office - gone two minutes, came out to find old relic lying on her side. Riding was entertaining - I did about 85 in one direction, 30 in the other Fortunately we have a garage. I wouldn't fancy having a bike outside in all this. ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |

Same here, popped into the sorting office to pick a parcel up and could see the bike rising then falling back onto the sidestand. The queue was bloody long and 5 mins felt like half an hour. So glad I don't have a fairing!!
Nearly got blown over at the traffic lights while not concentrating, made sure I put both feet down for the rest of the commute.
Lukily my bike is now nice and warm in it's garage. ____________________ Current ride - Yamaha MT-07 |

Left it in the garage. It's fucking howling out there right now, branches and shit all over the roads. Going along the M4 was hairy as fuck earlier, I was constantly compensating for gusts in the car, not to mention huge amounts of spray and the road was greasier than a slag's vajayjay.
I worry for my fellow Fazer owner who has brought his to work today, though. Still, if his tips over like Livefast's was threatening, there's a Pan next to it which will stop it going all the way over :p
There's a dude up the road for me who seems to have a thing for old Suzuki supersports, it's always outside under its cover, the cover was flapping like the aforementioned slag's kebab as I drove past it just now.
Unless you have to, don't. And be glad you're not my friends on the Island of Man still without COD:Black Ops because all the ships and planes with the post are cancelled. ____________________ Previous: 2002 Honda CB500 (sold), 2007 Suzuki SV650SK6 (crashed), 2005 Yamaha FZ6 Fazer (sold). We had 65mph winds here two :o saw a triple rainbow aswell!! Was all sorts of shite flying about! Bet Mary Poppins was having a right hoot!!
Mine was on its sidestand in a mixture of gravelly mud.. And the wind had made it sink down into the mud, but not actually fall over was parked next to a hummer which no doubt sheltered it a little bit.
Id agree with it being less likely to fall without a cover on, would act like a sail. Although sometimes i chain the bike to a lamp post, but its soo close its kinda welded to the lamp post so wont budge an inch. ____________________ A2 Passed 18/6/10 |

Getting real nasty out there, windows are rattlin'. Came home to find my baby CBR using it's cover in an attempt to paraglide across the garden.
Me and bike are sitting cosy and warm in the living room right now... |

When I got m 125 in april, I covered it up over the weekend. But one weekend I look outside and I see the bike on the floor.
Now it was a bit windy, but I think it was a wanker in his car tha knocked the bike, but couldn't prove it. Still pissed about it to this day!!!
Now I'm not using it that often so covered it up again. I see the cover blows a bit in the wind, but bikes not moving.... which makes me think it was that wanker.
I might use some string to tie the cover down to bike. ____________________ CBT: 04/2010 -> Theory: 09/2010 -> MOD1 & 2: 10/2010 (That's right baby, both on same day)
