So doing 60mph at freezing (which I do regularly) is akin to -33 ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

I hate the windchill factor. I especially hate the way your fingers go so numb it hurts to pull the clutch/ brake in
Last winter i put some super sexy muffs on my handle bars, and i have to say they worked pretty well! This year though i'm trialling a combination of winter gloves, thermal inner gloves and heated grips!! Lets hope that's enough to stop my fingers dropping off from frost bite! ____________________ "One moment can change a day, one day can change a life and one life can change the world." Does this take into account whether you wear clothes or not?
But, it's not that bad really, in 45 degrees, 30mph riding would be around 35 degrees or so, which is only a tad above freezing.
Ah well,
Why the 'uproar' (?) about fahrenheit people? I use it rather than centigrade all the time. ____________________ CBT: 12/06/10, Theory: 22/09/10, Module 1: 09/11/10, Module 2: 19/01/11

Wind chill is wind chill. Obviously if you are wearing clothes, it won't be that chilly on your skin. So no, it doesn't take clothes into account, but common sense would have told you that
And Fahrenheit makes no sense. When it's 32 degrees, water freezes. What the hell? When it's 32 degrees, I should be sweating.

Working out possible wind chill just adds to the psychological feeling of it being colder than it really is. If you can still feel your extremities, it's not that cold, that's my rule of thumb ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |
