Right my indicators are fine when I'm stationary with the engine turned off they function left and right fine. as soon as I start my engine and or rev it they go crazy (when they are set either left or right) they vary in pulse or just totally spaz out this worsens with vibration!

would this be possibly a faulty relay?
or maybe a loose wire somewhere?!

any input is greatly appreciated!

Try to eliminate your cost-free causes first. So strip the wiring back and make new connections if need be. If its not that then look at your earths. If its not that then you can try a new relay.

Failing that I have no idea Laughing

Good luck Thumbs Up

don't ask me about earths

Find the regulator on the bike, unplug it, then test the indicators again.

What bike?
Does it make any difference if the headlight is turned on?
Does it affect the front, rear and any telltale that may be fitted?
Can you hear the relay clicking? Do the clicks match the flash rate?
What do you mean by 'spaz out'?

What makes you think that the relay is knackered? If it works OK when the engine is stationary why would it ''spaz out'' when the engine is running? Me thinks that it is more likely to be an overcharging issue.
BTW you still haven't revealed the make and model of bike. I'm guessing something cheap and Chinese.

AC on the line would do that
(assuming its only going mad when engine is physically running)

Mine did that when I went batteryless - turns out the battery is an important part of turning AC into DC on my bike...LOL

Turns out the indicator realy gets really quite confused when fed with AC rather than DC

More symptoms mine showed...

Headlight got so bright when you rev it that it looks like its going to blow and went as dim as a dim thing with low rpm?

Could be reg/rectifier (or connections to and from it) gone bad
(I am assuming battery is OK and connected otherwise the indicators wouldn't work with engine off)

If you have a multimeter it may be worth checking the battery voltage with eng off and running
(also seeing if putting multimeter to AC and doing the same shows anything interesting)

Regards
Rob
