Have you asked permission of the admin to post information about a commercial product? This is, by definition, unsolicited commercial advertising as much as it is interesting.

Please be careful of the rules in future...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I imagine this is basically a gps tracker, a sim card and a microphone on a box for £30 a month.

Although these features are useful, it is overpriced and would only attract wealthy people who probably have good security anyway.

Cool idea, if it was £5-£10 a month loads more people would consider it but even I can see how hard it would be to make that profitable.

+1 Marjay said but you haven't just shamelessly spammed some get rich quick scheme or some random product and you understand grammar more than the average spammer.

It says £4.95 per month on their website if you splash out £99.95 up front or £30 per month with no setup fee.

I can see some uses, but it doesn't look that great for bike stuff so far.

As far as touring life saving stuff goes - if I was to spend money, I think it'd be on a 'SPOT'.
Using it to keep a track of your route after, just use your navigation GPS, etc.

As far as anti-theft, I'd like more/better features.
I'd expect to be able to press an alarm fob style button which would mean any movement before dis-arming would contact me.

Finally, I would like an option to not pay the monthly fee.
That's the deal breaker and what means I wouldn't even consider it, really.

If I wanted to do this I would rather pay a one off fee for an iPhone/Android/Maemo app to do it, seeing as I already have a GPS device sitting in my pocket.

Do admit, the monthly bill does seem a bit unattractive, it would put me off buying. I have gps on my mobile for £80 and a free app that lets me track where is it. I think it would be more aimed at the expensive bike market, i wouldnt bother putting one on my bike, certainly not worth it. What about just doing the £5 a month with no initial payment? Would take a while but would still make money eventually Laughing

I've got tracking.

Bought an xda orbit, free download of LocateA software and a tesco sim card, topped it up £20 i think (tesco turns this into £60) about 3 months ago and costs me £2 a week for unlimited internet which keeps the real time tracking stuff online.

Phone is in a pocket on the bike on charge constantly, can be tracked anywhere on the planet and give my customers a tracking code which they enter on my web site to track their packages.
I could set phone to auto answer if i wanted to hear what was going on in its vicinity.

Bonus of having tomtom installed on it so i have backup sat nav and mobile phone on the bike in case i ever need it.

Interesting; changed since last night and does seem to make less sense now.

Certainly wouldn't want to be paying £14.95 per month for the service.

i also think the bit about 'tracking your loved ones' is a bit dodgy.

You can get GPS trackers (motionX & trackr!) for the iphone etc that allows you to share you tracks and current location on both social networking websites & to selected people. These effectively allow you to track your loved ones.
But yet these apps are only £1.79 - £2.50 each so why pay for an overprice product with a monthly subscription

You can get one of these for around 50 quid and put your own sim card.

I got one on my CBR, it does some nice stuff, like the option of setting a "virtual fence", so if the bike moves in a 5 meters circle it send you messages to your phone to alert you that it's moving.
It also allows sends you the GPS coordinates of the bikes to your phone, and for what I saw in the manual, it can be configured to use GPRS and send your positions to an inet server every couple of minutes.

I use a O2 payg simcard with free SMS, so it doesn't cost me anything to check where I've parked the bike Smile

Well your website is boring and unprofessional. I could do so much better. Although I suppose you're just starting up so...

Your business model doesn't make sense... you are only going to sell in this market with cost leadership, and you're nowhere near what most of us would be willing to pay for the convenience that this offers.

Used a Snooper for over a year and it was very good. Under £100 and no contract. Hard wired it to the battery and used a cheaop Tesco Sim.

The use of grammar on your site is appalling.
