yeah but the original post has gone awol i have great big chunks missing out of it like the rebuilding on the forks.

i deleted the posts a while ago but when i tried putting it back together i lost pieces........

so rother than argue with the computer anymore i thought id just make it easier for me and copy and paste the posts that are in the right place.

and get the forks back where they were...

Welsh1DK How is this spam?

Spam = Unsolicited commercial advertising. This is not commercial advertising.

Boring would be an acceptable rating, as would redundant or something, but spam? No.

Hi

Certainly not spam. In no way is it commercial advertising. Ratings revoked.

The "red" ratings have very specific meanings and to go with there greater effect than other ratings they have very little room for interpretation.

All the best

I think people think that the karma rating system is just like a scale for how much you like / dislike something, so if you really dislike something you use the lowest rating. That certainly seems to be true for giving out positive karma, but i guess negative is designed to be more specific.

All those pics have been posted before, but i think its understandable and a good idea to have them all together in 1 place where people can just scroll through without having to read a mass of accompanying text.

At the end of the day it is a rather interesting project, which is quite a lot more interesting than some stuff posted on here. I'd rather you posted it twice than not at all.

This kind of thing is EXACTLY what the show and tell forum is supposed to be about. I'm sick of reading "NC30 tart up" threads and would like to see some more nut and bolt restorations, engine rebuilds, stripping bikes back to the frame etc etc. A wider range of bikes would be good too, as "Bolt on GSXR" projects are also very dull.

I'd like to see something like a GT750 kettle restore or a Morini 31/2 sport rebuild. Failing that, I'll have a CB125 twin rebuild thanks! Smile

Darling, it was all there, only the pics weren't showing. ALL you had to do was re-size the pics, put them back on photo-bucket and make sure that the links worked where any file names had changed!

The missing 'chunk' looks like you have deleted one of your own posts, editing it, and posted the exact text from the post above!

And THAT looks like its the bit about teh forks you have now pasted into a different post, out of sequence!

Come on, go sort it! you Only have that double post and one other to re-make the pic links for, and its done!

All the rest of the posts after that one, link to the pics on my boto-phucket account and still work.

Only thing you MIGHT want to do there, is check the refs and link them to the re-sized version of them pics on your boto-phuck acocunt, IF you want to make it all look neat, and get the pictures the same size and not taking two days to load!

It is a good idea. And that idea is at https://snowtigeress.webfreehosting.net/

And why I'd started trying to compile her posts and put them into a single blog-page on my webby. Only it was a bit big and unwieldy and took even longer to laod.

About a month ago she signed up for a Computer Key-Skills course. She tried showing the Pup-post to her tutor, becouse he rides a Fazer, only the forums blocked by the college firewall, so she down-loaded the page I'd made and showed him that, and was told to create a web-site out of it, becouse it was too big!

That is what's prompted all this faffing around, as she's tried migrating pics off her photo-bucket and my photo-bucket to her new server space, finding it wont allow hot-linking, so migrating them back again.... re-sizing them as she goes!

As for the actual project, well its still moving. Back end's now on the bike, and we've been looking at the electrics. She now has LED lights in all the sockets apart from the head-lamp, and it makes beepy noises when you press the horn button!

Been nagging her to post some progress, but she kept moaning that there wasn't any point, as all the early pics weren't there......

She's sorting them now..... I think...... Scuse me, I'm just going to go write protect my 'My Photo's folder, before she deletes anything else!
