Right, just changed Jets, Sparkplug, Put in CI626 and Tv-78, there is a slight difference but the revs are still limited to 10.5k and the top end is still on 80, eventually :/ Any help guys would be appreciated, the only thing on my mind is that wires need to be changed on the CDI?

Do you think that the NSR experts spend every minute online just in case you need a question answered Rolling Eyes Patience is a virtue

You don't say which country the bike is from which effects the method of derestriction.

You don't say on your post wether you've removed the restrictions in the exhaust or the intake, if not these are the first places to try.

If you've got a swiss bike then i'm sure that they are electronically restricted which is what the 'hard' 10.5 rev limit is however I don't have any experience of the swiss bikes as mine is italian Thumbs Up I think you need to swap wires on the CDI.

Wait for alains to come he is the NSR god

ZDCJC22, ive checked the exhaust earlier, no restriction, i did read your manual alains where it said about the wires having to be swapped over but i didn't really understand what which ones i got to swap and how?

Edit : No Air intake restriction either.

see the joined pict , this will show how the terminals are locked in the connector . introduce one branch of a fine tweezers between the plastic and the terminal you want to undo , push in gently , while slightly pulling the wire , when the terminal is unlocked the wire will come with you . before refitting the terminal in the connector push out the small bit , then when the terminal will lock in you will hear a little click and if you try to pull the wire it's impossible . if it is your bit is not out enough or you havnt push enough the terminal in the connector . the wires to be crossed are the green and the black/yellow
warning !! if you do not cross the wires (if you change a CI639 by a CI626) your CDI will be dead within 4 days

Just changed the wires over, no difference at all :/ :@ its really irritating me lol the ci626 n tv-78 have made no difference at all to the bike, im at a loss, any other ideas what it could be, it still only revs to 10500

BTW its ZDCJC22A which is the italian import? Did i even need to change the wires over or shall i change them back? Its also an X Reg.

edit : there is a sticker on the inside of the frame near the air box that says NSR RY, but its an NSR RR? has that got anything to do with it?

A means it's italian import
RY means 2000 model
you must have your compression tested something less than 125Psi means you need a top-end rebuild
this bike supposed to be unrestricted except the exhaust pipe
the guide will be :
- first check your jets (look the pict about the carb in my file) you need main=138 or 140 , idle (slow) =42 , power=65
- buy carbon membranes here
https://cgi.ebay.de/JOllify-Carbon-Membrane-Honda-NSR-125-R-JC22-036-/120545879378?pt=Motorrad_Kraftradteile&hash=item1c11182552
- buy a couple plugs BR9EIX here
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/KAWASAKI-KX80-C-R1-NGK-SPARK-PLUG-BR9EIX-3981-/200542620102?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2eb14589c6
- finaly you need a race pipe (best is jollymoto 402 & 403) ~£260

Changed the jets the other day wen i changed the cdi, spark plug, pv controller and the throttle needle, i just dont understand how nothing at all has changed, do you think there is still a restriction in the exhaust? could there be one elsewhere in the exhaust because i took the whole system off earlier and there was no restriction

I thought that putting the CI626 and the TV-78 in would derestrict the revs but its exactly the same, is there anyway i could have put it in wrong? Surely it wouldnt run at all if there was something majorly long, Its really depressing me, i hear about how fast they are etc and i've done everything necessary yet still no change? :@

you've worked on something you didnt need
in fact your bike is unrestricted (CI626 & TV78 are already fitted), but you have a problem somewhere else
- have your compression tested (see your local mechanics)
- watch your servo-motor pulley and look if it's working as the pict shows in my file https://www.geneva-racing.ch/~alains/NSRtips.doc
bottom page #10
then give me the results
