https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130461038852&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

but would that work for a full face helmet or can somebody reccomend anything better?

That looks like a nasty chinese copy of a Scala rider. Yes they work find on full face helmets, I've used a proper Scala for the last year.

I'm not sure on the quality of the chinese stuff though.

Unless someone has already bought one, you have the option of spending £100+ on a scala rider (good shit, I have 2) or £20whatever on that and being a guinea pig.

Even allowing for profits, rip off and UK prices, I really dont think a £20 unit will compare with a scala.

Best scala to go for would be the new one with A2DP, allows proper streaming of music from your phone, but add a 0 to the end of the chinese prices. Laughing

I use these. It seems they've stopped making them though. I'm sure you could find a cheap Chinese alternative, like these.

Just velcro it onto the inside of your chin bar or clip it onto your neck buff or collar. You can skip tracks and change volume, answer calls and on my phone you can even dictate to it to write text messages. Laughing

It seems the ones you linked are charging extra for the fact they are for bikes, whilst not showing any significant benefit or extra features over the other cheap sets you can get.

Many moons ago, when A2DP (stereo music streaming) first came out, I had a really cheap pair of bluetooth headphones from Hong Kong eBay. They were really good, and then I think I sat or them or lost them or something. So don't worry too much about the quality, especially for £9!

I got a scala rider FM, can listen to the radio and also has a 3.5mm socket for connecting mp3 player/ipod using supplied wire.
Connects to tomtom rider and phone so i can make/receive calls

I've spent stupid amounts of money trying to save money by buying cheap stuff and getting by but it's always unsuitable and end up buying something else.

I do ride a pan euro mainly which has fairing that keeps noise down but have had chats at 100+ (not on the road obviously).
I'd say definately worth spending the pennies for something that works right the first time.

I think i got mine here
https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SCALA-RIDER-FM-MOTORBIKE-BLUETOOTH-HEADSET-NEW-MP3-/220713674521?pt=UK_CE_GPS_Accessories_Software_ET&hash=item33638f6719

Things to look out for when buying though.
There are a few mixed/old/new versions out there for sale.

The newest and best to get has 2 speakers, not just the one and has fm radio along with mp3 connection.

Some have fm but no mp3 connect or have just one speaker, i emailed or phoned the sellers first to make sure exactly what it was i was getting

I have a Scala Rider FM and have been using it for about 2 years. The casing is splitting (one of the screw holes where it's held on has widened so the front of the case moves about).

I have had to re-glue the 'carrier bracket' to the helmet once as the glue they use is rubbish. Also, the metal part of the boom mic that joins it to the bracket is rusting.

The lithium-ion battery is apparently not replaceable (I haven't looked into this properly but you can take the casing apart with torx screwdrivers), so I might just epoxy the whole thing back together to protect it from the weather, but once the battery deteriorates that's it. It's essentially a throwaway item, but the price in my opinion is way too expensive for what it is.

Edit: Here's what the current versions look like: https://www.cardosystems.com/scala-rider

https://www.lemon-digital.co.uk/products.php?Product=298&Title=Cardo%20Scala%20Rider%20Solo%20Bluetooth%20Headset
and this?
https://www.lemon-digital.co.uk/products.php?Product=300&Title=Cardo+Scala+Rider+FM+Motorbike+Bluetooth+Headset+with+Radio&SubCatID=204

other than the second having radio?

I think I paid £120ish for my Scala rider teamset (2 headsets that work as an intercom, also has bluetooth and MP3 input).

ok,

i have narrowed it down to 2:

https://www.lemon-digital.co.uk/products.php?Product=300&Title=Cardo+Scala+Rider+FM+Motorbike+Bluetooth+Headset+with+Radio&SubCatID=204

or

https://www.lemon-digital.co.uk/products.php?Product=298&Title=Cardo%20Scala%20Rider%20Solo%20Bluetooth%20Headset

does either of these actually do MP3's?
