Very odd thing happened on the arilia rs 125. The dipped lights dont work no more and they did when i first rode the bike but for some reason cut out and dont turn back on anymore.

The full beam still works plus the lights upon the gauges work.

Any ideas?

So low beam works?
Sounds like you just need a new bulb. The low beam filament has probably broken.

Iether there are two bulbs, one for lower beam and one for higher beam, or there are two bulb filaments in the same bulb, one for high beam and one for low beam.
The lower filament or lower bulb may have blown, that's if a fuse hasn't blown.

Most bulbs have 2 filaments, one for low beam and one for high beam (although some bikes have separate bulbs for low and high beam).

It is entirely possible that one filament breaks while the other is still fine (probably happens 95% of the time when a headlight bulb goes). And as the low beam is used far more than the high beam that tends to be the one whose filament goes first.

All the best

Keith
