Maybe he's just on about the exhaust as atm it's up the the examiners discretion whats too loud. Bloke at my local garage told me to grind the 'Competition use only' off it and he'd pass it.

If the Op is on about the bike not being up to scratch then I agree.. sort it out..

my exhaust is standard i might just put it through a mot and see what it needs. iv spent 200 on it so far im just not sure if it will fail on something minor. is a water leak a failure?

If anyone does know of such a place then they would be unwise to post details of it on a public forum Rolling Eyes

Not too strict on brakes, tyres, lights, chassis and steering, you know all those little things that keep you from meeting the tarmac or your maker Rolling Eyes

If your bike can't pass the MOT it shouldn't be on the road......simple Thumbs Up

Maybe you should spend the time looking for a dodgy MOT station buying a Haynes manual.

Water leak won't be a failure as long as the tester can test the vehicle without it overheating so he abandons the test.

Water leak on those is usually the water pump and you can get a cheap kit on ebay to fix it. Riding a water cooled ped with a leak is not a good idea.

A water leak is not an MOT failure......it's not even tested on the MOT.

Why the big rush to get an MOT? Sort the leak out first.
There's no point having a bike tested if you are unable to use it.

'done up tight' isn't the grade you are aiming for with heads. A quick download of a workshop manual will tell you the correct torque to apply to each bolt and in which order sometimes.

Did you at least take your time to tighten them all gradually and evenly in a crossing pattern from the centre out?

This is really important, more so than the correct torque settings. If you didn't do it like that then it won't be flat and won't seal.
