I was thinking of the top gear where they put Hammond in an F1 car on the Stowe circuit at Silverstone. Having ridden their, I know it's little more than a glorified car park - you could see he might just as well have been in a badly setup overly sensitive caterham or something; because he never really got any of the 'good' bits of the F1 car.

Alas, it's only at 3 sisters, so there won't be a great deal of speed involved, just a bit of a taste really. Mind you, I'll be so far from the limits of the car anyway that it wouldn't really matter where!

Gav - I will be working up to it, yeah. Starting in a saloon, then an Aston/Ferrari something, then Formula Ford, then F3, then the F1.

Oh, and it's cost me £1450. Shocked

Power to weight may well be better than the F1 car, especially considering they're probably not running that at full-race spec.
