Need restrictor for a GS500

In addition to my other thread, I was wondering if anyone has a GS500 restrictor kit they'd be willing to part with for a few pictures of the queen/a pint, or the dimensions to make the required parts?

Edit: phoned through to my local Suzi dealer. They want £310 for parts and labour!

The dimensions I've seen are: 38mm OD - i.e. a 38mm repair washer - with a 20mm hole offset by couple of mm.

However, I don't know how the washer is supposed to be oriented in the inlet, so I'd just drill the hole in the middle.

Might be worth doing a few sets with different sized holes if you're going to bother having it dynoed.

I'll see if I can dig out the pictures I found later.

That hole in the middle looks a little on the small side. 20mm does sound about right.

My Fazer sizes were 38mm outer, 12mm, and a 1 or 2mm (can't remember) little hole about half way between the middle hole and the outer edge. Say that the bike puts out around 85-90bhp.

Bandit sizes are 38mm outer, and an offset hole with a 15.5mm diameter.

When installing both kits, the small hole and the off set hole both go facing towards the bottom. There was an old thread I will try to find about restrictors.

20mm inner sounds about right!

I made mine with the hole central, and it made 32BHP on the dyno, which ain't bad for home made washers!
Took them out and had it run again, turns out it only made 38bhp any way.....

If your bike is restricted, even if you have fitted them yourself, then in the event of a crash , or getting stoped and them dynoing your bike, there is fuck all they can do, if they are fitted then it's legal.
It's either 33bhp and legal, or not 33bhp and illegal, full stop.
The paperwork means fuck all, it all stems from FI internationals scaremongering.
Yes some insurance companys as to see proof, almost all of them accept a dyno printout. There is however NO legal requiment for a dyno print out, FI certificate ect ect

Cost me £35 for my dyno. Those washers came up at 29.18 bhp I think Rob. Let me know what yours come up as!

Also will be interesting to see what your afr looks like as they did weird things to mine. I think it was because of my exhaust though!

you could buy the throttle stop off me for like a tenner if you wanted,but looks abit of a pain from the pictures fitting it on to the carb end
