If you want protection get a Pan Euro or something, not a sports bike. If you look at people racing at the TT they have huge screens, but still rely on the riders helmet being part of the airflow so even tucked right in there will still be wind noise.

I fitted a double-bubble flip screen to my 'busa and it made a hell of a difference to wind-blast. A regular DB didn't have so much of an impact. Look around for one with the top-egde up-turned (flip) and try it - as you say they are cheap.
Another advantage was it was easier to see the clocks, especially the indicator warnings. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

As others have said it'll just make the wind blow into your face rather than your chest. It gets annoying quickly, trust me. ____________________ MKGaming.com
