Mark Hill Performance or MHP.

Quite expensive, but the systems are hand made. Used on a few minitwin bikes, and plenty of superstockers.

MHP already do an SP1 style exhaust mate, jap4performance.com, scroll down a bit on the NC35 page Thumbs Up It ends up about £700, but is probably cheaper than having a custom one done

yeah i seen the one on jap4performance Thumbs Up thought id do some asking because my mate had 2 cans and the link pipes made for his hornet for £360.

only thing currently putting me off is, is it going to sound odd being that its now 2 cans instead of the one it was made for ? like will it ruin the sound/performance

cheers guys

sounds about the same as it does now Very Happy ah thats good then.

i have a quill can at the minute, so i could just get the pipes made and buy another quill can for the other side right ? save a bit of moneys.

got a pick of your vfr ?

you could it's a case of finding a Quill can that looks the same, but with the badge on the other side, then getting the flanges welded on (unless of course you have a slip on, then it's simple)

The main problem will be that because you're splitting the airflow into 2, you won't need such wide diameter pipes, so first off you'll probably need new reducersmade up. It's loads easier to spend the money on the properly made system with the proper cans.

This is the project thread for my VFR, the third and second to last pages should show the exhaust

well the can i have is for left side obviously with the badge on the outside, and there standard ones have it on the right side. so i would only need to buy a new standard one i suppose?

yeah i see what you mean about not needing as bigger cans :/ how can i tell if i have a slip on can or not?

cheers ill have a look

Just to say my system uses 2 normal size cans, the guys at PRP dyno'd the last hornet they made them for and found no power loss with them. I don't think it matters too much tbh

Look at where the can joins to the pipe, if you have a stock NC35 system it will have 3 bolts holding it on. It may, however, have been hacked/swapped for a cut NC30 system and will have what looks a bit like a jubilee clip holding it to the pipe.

Any more problems you can always PM me, I don't have all of the answers, but will help if possible

nope, you got a bolt on mate, standard NC35 system.

Mine was bought from Japan, made by TSR Thumbs Up Keep an eye on Yahoo auctions japan for one, they don't come up very often, and don't expect much change from £500 for a used one

No, thats bolt on, Slip on is what it says on the tin, slips on, sometimes held by springs etc.
