Anyone got any idea where i can get a set?

Bike's burning oil at a fair rate so i'm rebuilding the engine next week, i've got a cam chain and getting a gasket set, so just need to get the piston rings replaced and i'm happy, but i can't seem to find them anywhere.

Someone's got to know where i can find them Laughing

Cheers

Dunc

Sure it's not just the valve stem oil seals?

Do a compression test?

I think if I remember rightly, if you do a baseline compression test and get say 110PSI, then put some oil down the barrels and the compression increases to say 120PSI, then its the rings that are fooked. Ie, iff the compression increases after putting oil down the barrels the ring are shot.

If it doesn't change, then its the valves.

They'll be in the gasket set anyway. You'll need a valve spring compressor.

Hi

If you are doing a full strip then replace the primary drive chain as well. No tensioner on that so it can slap around a bit.

All the best
