Getting one this Friday, moving from an iPhone 4...

Any worth while app's?

Anyone got any experience with the phone that's worth knowing?

I got one after having an iphone3g. I love it. As far as apps go its very like the iphone market.
One thing i particularly like is the google maps function. As good a satnav as you could want
Other than that i suppose it depends what kinda apps you want or need. Enjoy

3G watchdog is pretty awesome, it tracks how much data you use so you can stop yourself going over your monthly allowance.

Sleep as an droid is really cool as well, if you place it on your bed with you as you sleep it can detect the ideal time to wake you with an alarm. Works amazingly well. Plus its got loads of awesome features, only free for 2 weeks though.

x construction is one of the best games I've found on it so far.

sweet my contracts up next month and was think about getting an iphone so i could get the apps for free but if you can get the android ones for free then screw apple :thumbsup:

Why do you need ROM Manage if you don't have a rooted phone?

I'd be careful when installing apps off the web aswell, i only ever used to install apps from trusted sources (modaco and XDA-developers 99% of the time). People can and do put viruses in apps. Android (and the iphone iirc) are basically running linux in the background and they run very much like a normal linux system sat on your desk.

To be fair though there are so many free apps out there you don't really need to pay for them. I've bought 4 and they've all been about 70p each, its not worth pirating an app really they are just so damn cheap why bother? Unless you are getting every app under the sun..

If you listen to podcasts, then I highly recommend Pod Trapper (if you don't then it's not much use 'cos it doesn't do anything else )

I had it on the Blackberry, and it was a Godsend when it was release on Android.

I find it hard to believe anything is better than BeyondPod on Android (for podcasts). SmartPlay function is awesome.
