How much is it distorted? Is that the only problem the head is suffering? ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

You're right it's scrap. Don't sling it in the bin, because all the bits inside like cams and followers are expensive and hard to find. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

I've asked the only person I think might have one. TDC heads are like hens teeth. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

There was somebody on here asking about CB125's a week or so ago. we all warned him that the top ends weren't so great
De coke is no doubt a good idea, same goes for stem seals. You might have to get it skimmed regardless and hope for the best. Taking some measurements you could work out the compression ratio, and possibly fit a thicker gasket if it's too high. |

Heads are common with all the small bore twins.
CB125, CM125, CD125
CD185, CM125
CD200, CM200
CB250 'Nighawk', CM250 'Rebel' (actually 233cc, NOT the 248cc 'Big-Block' twin)
Most of the 'other' variants use 360deg cranks so if you got one you would HAVE to use teh CBcam-shaft out of your engine, otherwise, straight swap.
BUT check condition of cam-journals before you buy, ALL these engines suffer oil starvation problems that sees the camshaft eat the head. Hence if the motor's been scrapped, THAT is often the reason! ____________________ My Webby'Tef's-tQ, loads of stuff about my bikes, my Land-Rovers, and the stuff I do with them!

Mine had oil starvation that lead to loss of compression on the left hand cylinder. It was a quick bike before that, 75 even 80 with a hill assist, after it drank more oil than i expected and staved it a bit it was 70 MAX that was indicated to so probably more like 65.
Would a 250 engine fit in mike? |

Mike my brother had a CB125T and a TDC and it was a long time ago now but I'm sure the T cam would not go into the TDC head. Some feature on the cam that didn't line up. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
