very easy, buy the rollers, they MUST be the correct weight, you can weigh them if you are unsure, also buy the belt, preferably a kevlar belt.
open the side case, lock the variator with a screwdriver and then unbolt it. pull the whole assembly off careful to remember what order you disassembled it all in. replace rollers. replace belt reassemble. jobs a goodun

Ok, this i double yourself but easier with two.

First, take all the bolts out of the belt cover and full it off. There's a basket sealing it but should be reusable. You'll see both belt pulleys, and a small gear may fall out from just behind the front one, this is the starter motor gear, put it back how it cameout.

Getting the variator off is best and easiest with a locking tool that bolts to.the case. Search Google for Dan 50 variation lock tool or something. The alternative is a big blade long handled screwdriver jammed.in and held by someone else. Make sure you pull the variation off from the vary back not bit by bit or it falls to pieces.

Get an oe belt and rollers. Don't be tempted by cheap stuff or kevlar belts. I know from experience that they Will break or at very least wear out quicker.

Oe rollers are better because they are made mostly of a metal band wrapped in tough plastic. Cheap one are soft plastic, when.i bought an exhaust that came with some they wore flat in about 2 weeks severely robbing the bike of power and acceleration.

I beliiivvve the rollers you want are 7.1g

no dont grease the rollers, first off plastic doesnt need to be greased and second, that thing spins @ 10,000 rpm, grease is NOT gonna stay in there itll go everywhere.

my spelling in last posty is awful, sorry Embarassed

anyway, if itll wait a couple days for it to arrive, order this:

https://www.gileraspares.co.uk/sparesGilera/partImage.asp?GPN=VS18368

and it should take about half an hour if youve done it before, a couple hours if you havnt, its fairly simple really.

make sure you do the nut up tight and be VERY careful not to cross - thread it. couple mates didnt do it up, and beive me they make a nastry noise if the nut comes off while youre moving Laughing

should do but expect to break down sooner or later. There won't be any damaged - just a kanckered belt and rollers.

Check your brake pads aren't sticking either
