I don't suppose you can connect to said chatroom via mIRC by any chance? I'm sure someone can write a script for it.

What is the chat room? If there was another way of connecting to the chat it might be pretty easy to do.

Most IRC clients have a 'highlight'/'notify' function built in. Tell it what words to flash/beep on, job done. Thumbs Up
