These batteries are often sold as 'leisure batteries', however from my time 'on the scene'* there are a lot of questions how good they are for this purpose. Issue being their designed to be kept charged all the time, then only discharged fully a few times in their life.
May be that this requires similar setup to your typical leisure battery, maybe not.

G aint wrong to a point,
You should be ok aslong as the batteries do not drop below 30-25% after that they will need replacing as the amount of charge held will be greatly decreased. |

This maybe a stupid idea but what i have always wondered is could you power a battery charger from a battery so it powers itself?
I guess not, otherwise they would be in cars.
But WHY not? ____________________ || Past: 1991 Kawasaki ZXR 250 ~ 2003 Honda CBR 600 F Sport ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1999 Yamaha R1 ~ 1999 Kawasaki ZX6R J ~ 2004 Kawasaki ZX6R B1H 636 ~ 1998 Honda VTR1000F Firestorm ~ K1 GSXR 600 Track bike ~ K6 GSXR 1000 ~ 2006 Speed Triple 1050 || Current: 2005 R1 https://www.adrucore.co.uk |

Wouldn't work as USB output is 5v, laptop input is 18.5ish volts.
I'm clever, me.
Before the stupid comments, I know that voltage difference isn't the reason it won't work ____________________ Current: Suzuki RG 125 Gamma, Honda H100, Triumph Tiger 800XC, Suzuki SV650 (minitwin) |
