2005 FZ6 engine noisier when in neutral?

When I put the engine in neutral the engine sounds noisier, when I pull in the clutch lever the noise goes away?
Could this be a noisy cam chain?

No need to replace parts unless operation of the clutch is a problem. Almost every bike does it after a few thousand miles are on the clock... Perfectly normal.

Wouldn't worry about it, both CBR's I've had do it, most bikes do it

Only thing i would add is, if the noise increases or your clutch becomes grabby it'll likely be the clutch basket. The tangs on the clutch plates hammer the slots in the basket. The tangs usually give-in way before the basket.

If it's making more and more noise, take the cover off and look at the clutch assembly. Take you an hour tops.
