Not bike related as such.... but in a weeks time I'm gonna be hitchhiking to poland from Birmingham with polish friend of mine.

She's on easter break for uni so heading back home for a few days to see friends and such, I fancied a trip so coming along for fun, plus stopping in Berlin for a bit on the return trip which will be fun.

Not knowing much about poland, whats it like over there? I've heard that it is pretty cheap compared to uk but apart from that no real idea of the country.

My aim is to get one of their cool looking army tents - sort of tipi style which can be had for about a fiver I gather.

It's a little cheaper than the UK, but not by much anymore.

I've been to Warsal a couple of times for work, people are quite friendly. Didn't get to see a great deal of the city, but what I did see was quite nice.

Sod hitchhiking though!!! Shocked

It all depends on where you do. Poland can be massively cheaper than the UK, or just a tiny bit, depending on the area you are in.

Anyway, guess you're not going now.

Go to amsterdam and berlin if you have a week to spare.

Stay in hostels (you'll meet loads of people) and get the train.

You could potentially fit a couple of days in Munich too but it would be a rush.
