Last year I built a set of van powered rollers in This thread.
They work well but you need a van (not always an option in a crowded paddock) and it is a two person operation. You need to trust the guy in the van and after almost getting my foot caught in the rollers while the driver just kept his foot down oblivious to my plight I decided to make something safer.
Commercial rollers cost about £650, I made these for just over £200.

Not sure but if you call these guys.
Droitwich Diesel Services
(01905) 771316
Fax: (01905) 778964
1 Judge Court, Berry Hill Industrial Estate, Droitwich, WR9 9AB
and tell them what you are doing they will sort you out. You will need to weld mounts on the case (between the coils) and braze a sprocket on the shaft.
If you want any advice send a PM.
I need to tidy things up a bit like the wiring but it works a treat.

Wotcha.

We made ours out of an old Honda stationary engine - centrifugal clutch - the rollers are salvaged from a conveyor belt system. I'll try and take a few piccies of it. . . .Ah, hold on, I have a video somewhere.
Start, ya bugger, start

That's the "Starcati" you see starting - BSA Starfire bottom end with a Ducati Desmo head. . . . the rear wheel of my B33 makes a fleeting appearance in the foreground Mr. Green

Wotcha.

Oh yes - finished first more than once. Not being a genuine classic bike she can't compete seriously but can still race - any points awarded for finishing are not counted. With a decent rider on board she beat some very expensive machines on Anglesey Thumbs Up

There's another engine being built at the moment - very similar but a tad larger in capacity.
